実際に公式サイトにもカテゴリー8の導入の日付が明記されていますので間違いない情報です。

カテゴリー8の導入が3月5日よりスタート

3月5日から統合時に発表されていたカテゴリー8の運用が始まります。

以下に記載しているホテルはポイント宿泊をするなら今が本当にお得です。

カテゴリー8が導入されると必要ポイントが増え泊まるハードルが上がってしまうホテルになります。

25000ポイント～40000ポイントの節約が現時点では可能

カテゴリーはホテルのランクによって変わりますが、実際に宿泊者にとって影響するのはポイントを使用した無料宿泊になります。

もちろんカテゴリーの高いホテルの方が費用的にも高くはなりますが、国によってはカテゴリーが低くても宿泊費が高くなるホテルもあるので費用は目安になると思います。

以下の表が各カテゴリーで無料宿泊する際に必要なポイント数になります。

新たにスタートするカテゴリー8のホテルに必要はポイント数は

ローシーズン：70,000ポイント
レギュラーシーズン：85,000ポイント
ハイシーズン：100,000ポイント

となります。

現在であればカテゴリー7のレギュラーシーズンと同様の60,000ポイントで宿泊することが出来ます。

3月5日以降になると70,000ポイント～100,000ポイントが必要になります。

まだシーズンチャートの発表がされていませんがハイシーズンだと思われる時期で考えると、カテゴリー8の場合の必要ポイントは100,000ポイントとなりますので現在よりも40,000ポイントも必要ポイントが増加します。

ポイント宿泊が無料でキャンセルが可能

このポイントを利用した無料宿泊ですが、ホテルによって期日はあるもののそれまでであれば無料でキャンセルが可能です。

ポイントがあるなら今すぐ予約

もう時間がありません。カテゴリー8のホテルで気になるホテルがあるなら予約だけでも入れておくことをおくことをおすすめします。

あまり推奨できるものではありませんが、ポイント無料宿泊はキャンセルが無料で出来ますので、必要ポイント数がアップしてしまう前に気になるホテルは予約して、もし泊まれないのであればキャンセルするのが現在できる一番良い方法だと思います。

毎年3月になるとマリオットのカテゴリーチェンジが行われます。

2019年度カテゴリーアップするホテルは世界6700以上のホテルの内、全288ホテル

2019年度カテゴリーダウンするホテルは世界6700以上のホテルの内、全37ホテル

カテゴリー8と同様に、こちらも泊まりたいホテルがあるならカテゴリアップするホテルは3月5日までに予約した方が良いです。
